Shanghai is an exciting, vibrant city with something for everyone. After three years living here, I still find that I am discovering new things to do. The city attracts an exciting mix of expats, who are usually friendly, adventurous, entrepreneurial, well-traveled, and open-minded. From a mom's perspective (have a toddler and another one on the way), Shanghai is filled with fun kid activities. The Chinese love children and are always exceptionally welcoming of us all over town. One thing, I can say for sure, nobody can complain of being bored here!

Hi Fiona,
We spoke briefly at Super Brand Mall in Pudong. I was asking about the baby "sling" or "carry" that you had. You mentioned your blog and gave me your card. I visited your blog to look for the article about the sling but couldn't find it - do you think you could direct me to it with a link? T

My husband and I are soon to welcome little people into our family and enjoy reading the Family Matters column. After reading the Buckle Up article, we are a little concerned about the car seat situation. We do not have a personal vehicle in Shanghai, nor a company vehicle or driver. We rely solely on our bicycle or public transportation (buses, taxi's etc.) Does anyone have any suggestions for families who believe it is important to use a car seat, but are not sure how that will work with taxi's etc.? Thanks in advance!

hey!! :) I'd just like to say that ur baby in the picture seems soooo cute!! :) hope that he will always be in ur arms :) by the way may I ask u if u're still living in shanghai?
