The throngs of young expats and locals that pack this two-floor Shanghai institution make it one of the best spots to see and be seen in the city. House music spins downstairs to a large, ever-packed dance floor ringed by tables. Upstairs is a cozier hip-hop room.

great crowd, great music...
but seriously, why are the staff here such big sacs a douche??
with all the money this club is making off their 800 RMB bottles and their 20 RMB green teas, you'd think they could afford to pay their staff a little more so that they don't turn into bitter little pits of despair that try to subsequently take it out on their customers?!
(Note that by the above, I did not mean to include the very nice old "xiexie dage" men in the men's room, nor the cute south american looking bartender on the ground floor. you guys rock. but to the former of you, i'd like to say, don't touch me while i'm peeing please, and to the latter, hmmm....)

probably the best place in shanghai for good music and nice crowd. weekends are packed and its easy to mingle with the mixed crowd - foreigners and locals all come here. tons of tables but only a few choice selections.

I would say muse is a good club. Afterall, it is a chinese club, and that's the way how the most of chinese people party: drinking watered down whisky (sometimes even fake)with green tea, playing dice game, etc. It can be fun if we go there once in a while. Plus the girls at muse are pretty hot, they always dress up to go there.

Went to Muse for the first time on Sat night, while visiting friends in Shanghai. The place definitely is a cool place to hang out, beautiful women. The music was good. Only complain little lack in dance floor. However, this is China most the goer enjoys there whisky and green tea. If you are in Shanghai you should definitely check it out.

Music is danceable, cocktails are alright, price's not very high but also not cheap! ... always crowded, the dancefloor's soooo tiny and crowded that there's noway u can move!!! staffs are really rude!!! if you r being stepped on foot by them, don't expect any sorry, even if it was obvious!

Didn't stay long but didn't like the atmosphere. It felt snobby and full of old men.

I do like muse a lot because they play some of the best music in the city but why oh why do they have a dance that can fit 4 people?
I mean I understand people like table service but is it asking to much to remove 2-3 tables that are located right in the dance floor?
Dancing at a club? Thats so cliche..........

Definitely one of the better clubs in Shanghai. They had two floors with separate bars and music, excellent decor, and it was fairly easy to move around inside (discounting the packed dance floors). I had a great time there.

Where You Drink, Issue 9 Lucas Pignaton
When I go out, I look for good music, great people and, of course, good drinks. One place I love is Muse. On Wednesday nights I enjoy the music there with a Cosmopolitan or a Johnny Walker and black tea in my hand and friends around me.

A long week at the office usually calls for a much needed release at Muse, a smashingly vibrant venue with two choices of music and Long Island Iced Teas that could pass for direct imports from the debaucherous NYC suburbs. Upon making my way to one of two extensive bars on the first floor, I'm invigorated by the post-modern decor and always impressed by the speedy service.

Rude staffs, never give back the change. once a while ok.i get it.but every damn single time?come on....!?
