This luxurious lounge has nightly jazz acts to complement the variety of wines available. Although luxury comes at a price, top off the experience by enjoying one of the fine cigars the humidor provides, including Romeo y Julieta, Arturo Fuente and Partagas.

Yesterday my wife and I were in Xintiandi looking for a nice place to have some dinner with some live music. We decided on CJW because the setting of the environment speaks for itself. The waiters were all smartly dressed and most importantly the jazz band was preparing for their performance. Once we're seated and looked at the menu, we were very surprised to see the food never really matched the upsacle selection of the good wines. Imagine having potatoe skins, chicken wings and burgers with your good wine? You will wonder if one has stepped into an american dining...Anyway, my wife ordered a Goulash soup which tasted like CAMPBELL SOUP, even the potatoes, meat and carrots in the soup tasted like from a freakin' can! I ordered a parma ham pizza and asked the waiter for some chili olive oil. The waiter came back holding a big bottle of olive oil that looks like it has come straight away from the kitchen, oily and disgusting! For such an upscale wine bar, we would have expected to see a good selection of cheese, tapas or appetizers that goes perfectly well with the concept of this place. Moreoever, the professionalism from the waiters is one heck of hell as they seem to be more bothered of how they looked in the smart-bistro-look-a-like outfit than serving the customers! We told the waiter that the soup is awful and tasted like can soup. Yet, the waiter just took the soup and left!!!! Not even the good jazz band could save us staying. The whole experience was a complete disappointment. We will never visit this place ever again and recommends no one to do so. The sky-high prices on the food and wines don't even match with the service and the setting. DON'T BOTHER TO COME TO THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE IN XINTIANDI!!! There are plenty of nice places for a drink or two with much better food and service in that area. PS. if Gordon Ramsay was here he'd so shut down this place, man!

Loved the ambiance and decor. Together with the live jazz band, the place was fantastic. It is no wonder they won the best jazz award by City Weekend. Great that the place was not totally enclosed as I cannot really stand smoke.
We ordered some cocktails and antipasti. The classic Mojito was not bad but on the whole the food was just above average. A great place to chill out nonetheless.
