This exibition is inspired by the memories of artists Zhang Yinghua and Zeng Huarong. Zhang draws on his childhood memories of symbolic colours from the propoganda movement and presents his series of powerful images while Zeng depicts vibrant images of golden faced stoic characters inspired by revolutionary classic stories.

Symbolic colours; marching people; propaganda vans; the endless meetings; red flags and slogans, like waves came one after another; leaving strong impressions and memories in the young mind and heart of Zhang Yinghua when he was a child, inspiring him to create this new series of powerful images.

A personal interpretation depicting vibrant images of golden faced stoic characters inspired by revolutionary classic stories, passionate performances by travelling troupes and iconic movies that influenced Zeng Huarong from an early age.
