Step up for your ration of grog

Make a weekend of it with a day at the Qinhuangdao beer festival (RMB 388) and a day at Beijing Sailing Center. Sailing experience plus lunch and BBQ dinner (RMB 299).

Oktoberfest in Qinhuangdao is organised each year by the Holiday Inn, the only 5-star hotel in the area, in a marquee between the hotel and the beach. The Oktoberfest runs from Wednesday 27 to Sunday 31 August 2008. Your day ticket costs RMB 388, which includes

Open Sailing Weekend is Saturday 30 to Sunday 31 August 2008. Our qualified Royal Yachting Association instructors will explain to you how to make a sail boat work, then we launch the boats and get you out on the water. To start with we sail inside the harbour, so that you can get used to the controls and how a sail boat works. Then, when you are comfortable, we head out onto the open sea to enjoy the full maritime experience. After your sailing experience, enjoy lunch and BBQ dinner at the Beijing Sailing Center with evening entertainment. Your RMB 499 ticket includes
+ Sailing experience (minimum 1 hour)
+ Lunch and BBQ dinner
+ Evening entertainment

Also sailing courses for all levels at scenic Beidaihe, as well as dinghy hire and a race on Sunday morning.
